1505227 Toothed gearing ELMEG ELEKTRO-MECHANIK GmbH 11 Aug 1976 [16 Sept 1975] 33410/76 Heading F2Q Gears 1, 2 are arranged side by side and have axial tooth elements 11, 12 which are adapted to be coupled to each other by a transmission gear 5, the tooth elements 11 being radially offset relatively to the tooth elements 12 so that the tooth elements overlap axially. In crosssection, the tooth elements may be semicylindrical or of trapezium shape, Figs. 9 and 10. The tooth surfaces may be axially tapered. The gears may be numeral rolls formed by injecting a coloured material into gaps in the roll surfaces. The gear 5 has wide teeth which are adapted to rest against the periphery of gear 2 when not engaging the teeth of gear 2 so as to prevent rotation of the gear 5. |
