N-Aryl-N'-(cyclo)alkyl-thioureas of formula (I) and their acid-addn. salts are new: (where R1 is 1-6C alkul or 3-7C cycloalkyl; R2 is 2-6C alkyl or 3-7C cycloalkyl; R3 is 1-6C alkyl, 3-6C alkenyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl, 5-7C cycloalkenyl or halogen; n = 0-2; R7 is opt. substd. 3-10C cycloalkyl, opt. substd. 5-10C cycloalkenyl, or CR4R5R5; R4 is H, 1-6C alkyl or 3-7C cycloalkyl; R5 and R6 alkyl or 3-7C cycloalkyl). They are esp. active against phosphate-resistant Boophilus ticks and other animal ectoparasites. A typical cpd. is N-(2,6-di-s-butulphenyl)-N'-butyl-thiourea. In an example, this is prepd. from 2,6-di-s-butylphenyl isothiocyanate and t-butylamine.
