<p>The improved bed mattress has a frame which is in two identical semi-circular parts. The frame of each of the two parts is made up of a curved refinorcement (3) which is usually made of metal and on which a strip, of wood slate is lashed. Each reinforcement piece supports the ends of crosspieces (5) on which are fixed springs (6), which are lashed into place. When the two parts have been assembled, there need be no continuity of lashing. The mattress is then held taut by a cable (18) and stay pieces (19) hooked at one end onto the channel and at the other end to the bottom of the springs (6).</p> |
