PURPOSE:To realize excellent characteristics as a polarizable electrode for constituting an electric double layer capacitor having a large capacitance, by using active carbon body excellent in electric conductivity which is formed on an aluminum substrate as a collector, at a low temperature by using a cluster ion beam method. CONSTITUTION:Aromatic acid anhydride is used as raw material, and film type active carbon body is formed on an aluminum substrate turning to a collector by cluster ion beam method, thereby realizing a polarizable electrode. Hence material excellent in crystallinity can be synthesized at a comparatively low temperature. Film type active carbon body which is porous and has large surface area is formed on the substrate. The electric conductivity is higher than or equal to 40S/cm and excellent. Chemically and electrochemically inactive material can be obtained. Thereby when an electric double layer capacitor is constituted, the internal resistance of the capacitor is reduced, and the decrease of capacitance and durability can be prevented. |
