PURPOSE:To improve the fitting state between the belt and the pulley to reduce the loss of power transmission by unitarily connecting the upper surfaces of a plurality of V-belt main bodies by means of a tie-band having contraction only in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:The top parts of the V-belt main bodies are unitarily connected by a sheet of a tie-band T made by coating the upper and lower surfaces of an expansible shrinkable canvas 5 with rubber. The tie-band T is constituted by embedding the canvas 5 using a low-orientation polyester yarn of an elongation of more than 80% for warps 5a and a cotton yarn or the like for wefts 5b into a soft rubber 4 having the same properties as those of rubbers 2 and 3 of V-belt main bodies. Together with the expansion and contraction in the vertical direction, the variation of tolerance in the width direction toward the lateral direction of the tie-band is reduced, to improve the fitting state between the belt and the pulley and completely remove the loss of power transmission. |
