<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the factors of the degradation of image quality such as transfer blurring by allowing a position against the image carrier of a carrying guide to be variable according to the type of paper used as a transfer member. CONSTITUTION:The pair of paper guides 420 are provided with an upper side guiding piece 420a, a lower side guiding piece 420b, and a sliding piece 420c attached in a state where spacing against a photosensitive body 202 is varied from a size A to a size B. When the thin piece of paper is carried, the space between the sliding piece 420c and the photosensitive body 202 is set to the size A. Thus, the paper is adhered from the point of the photosensitive body 202 immediately before receiving corona discharge and separated at a point b. On the other hand, when the paper is thick, the distance to the photosensitive body is set to size B by sliding the sliding piece 420c to the photosensitive body 202 side. Thus, the paper is adhered from the point a' of the photosensitive body 202 and separated at the point b', thereby making the width of contact greater.</p> |
