<p>The relay with an armature (3) tilted between two end positions so as to control two contacts at different positions along a contact carrying blade (8) has one arm of the armature resting on the arm (2') of the yoke (2) underneath the blade. Between the armature and the blade is a block (6) which lifts the blade when the armature is displaced. When lifted, a moving contact (9) is separated from a fixed contact (11) adjacent to the pad, and a moving contact (10) is connected to a fixed contact (12) at the free end. The pad incorporates a raised zone (14) across the end nearest the contacts so as to reduce the force required at the moment when the first contact pair is separated, and improve the switching action.</p> |
