<p>The tractor comprises a chassis which straddles two rows of vines, the power unit being suspended under the chassis in the space between the two rows of vines. The power unit is disposed so that its centre of gravity lies substantially on the axis of the rear wheels (6) with the clutch, gearbox and differential extending towards the front of the vehicle. Drive is transmitted from the differential to the wheels via at least two pairs of gearboxes two (14) of which are situated adjacent the engine and the other two (21) of which are situated adjacent the wheels. The whole power unit is covered by a load platform (28) at the front of which is disposed the cab.</p> |
