<p>The decorative frame is partly hollow to accommodate a light source. The frame has an opening along the edge facing the picture to allow the light to fall on the picture. The frame is shaped to focus the light reflected from its walls into the direction of the opening, maximising the utilisation of the generated light. The light sources are arranged round each edge of the frame, and are made up of multiple point sources which can be individually controlled to wary the evenness of the surface illumination or alternatively may be dimmed as a group. A facility to displace the lights may be included by mounting them on a motor driven belt.</p> |
