PURPOSE:To enable adoption of a small-sized bearing mechanism for an upper roll in a rolling method for an angle-section steel by a 3-roll rolling mill by rolling a rolling material with both upper rolls brought in face contact with the peak part of the rolled material or near the same. CONSTITUTION:A rolling material S is rolled in the state of a flat type in which a peak part (m) is formed at the center by a 3-roll rolling mill having a lower roll 1 and a pair of inclined upper rolls 2a, 2b. The rolls 2a, 2b roll the material S while the upper parts of the circumference thereof are brought into contact A with the peak part (m) right above said part. The thrust force F acting on each roll 2 by the rolling reaction is eventually received by mutual roll shafts 3 via the contact part A by which the burden of the bearing mechanism against thrust force is decreased. The upper roll is thus made into the compact construction having the small-sized bearing mechanism. |
