<p>PURPOSE:To enable nondestructive and highly reliable detection of a specific substance mixed with other substances in a matter to be detected, by providing newly a step for discriminating and judging the aucenticity of NQR (nuclear quadrupole resonance of the same nucleus) derivation of an observation signal. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with setting 4 of a frequency, sweeping, etc., an electromagnetic wave irradiation device 3 applies to a matter 1 to be inspected an electromagnetic wave corresponding to a spin transition of a substance to be detected in the matter 1. Then, the spin transition is detected by using a spin transition detector 2, the substance is detected and the result is displayed 2'. The strength of a detection signal at this time being denoted by S0, the detection of the spin transition is repeated subsequently by impressing a DC magnetic field on the matter l by supplying a direct current to a static magnetic field generating coil 5' by a static magnetic field power source 3', and the strength of the detection signal at this time is denoted by S1. These signal strengths S0 and S1 are compared with each other by a controller 5, thereby the aucenticity of NQR derivation of an observation signal is discriminated and judged, and thus the reliability of the result of inspection is improved.</p> |
