Conditioning device for preconditioning rice, unprocessed rice or the like

The present invention is directed at a conditioning device for conditioning rice or unprocessed rice at a low temperature, which conditioning device contains a thermally insulated conditioning chamber which has an inlet opening and an outlet opening for discharging the conditioned material. The device also contains a conveyor which operates in the conditioning chamber and serves to advance and feed the material for conditioning starting from the inlet opening as far as the outlet opening and a line with spray nozzles for feeding and distributing a cooling coolant transport means to, and onto, the material for conditioning whilst the said material is advanced in the conditioning chamber using the conveyor.
