PURPOSE:To increase speed for transferring a data by including a main storage device and a common memory, which is in an input / output control device, in the same memory space to be directly accessed by a central processing unit. CONSTITUTION:A memory bus 1 connects a central processing unit 3, main storage device 4 and bus adapter 10, and an I/O bus 2 connects other several input / output control devices 40 besides an input / output control device 30. The storage device 4 and a common memory 31 are included in the same memory space so that the central processing unit 3 can directly access not only the main storage device 4 but also the common memory 31 provided at the input / output device 30. Therefore, by storing the data to be transferred in the common memory 31 by the input / output control device 30, the central processing unit 3 can directly access and process the common memory 31 similarly to the main storage device 4. Thus, it is not necessary to transfer the data mutually between the common memory 31 and the main storage device 4, and a high-speed data transfer processing is enabled. |
