PURPOSE:To improve the dust collection efficiency by arranging the first frequency changing means between a timing control means and the first thyristor control element in the titled high-voltage electric power circuit for supplying a DC high-voltage electric power to an electrostatic precipitator. CONSTITUTION:Taps 5B and 5C are provided midway of the primary winding 5a in a booster transformer 5, a thyristor control element 7 of the second phase control means is connected to the terminal 5A of the whole winding, the trigger circuit 30 of the first phase control means and a thyristor control element 31 are connected to the specified intermediate tap 5C, and the frequency changing means 33 is connected to the power source side of the thyristor control element 31. When the frequency is increased in this way, the impressed pulse duration can be remarkably reduced, the number of times of corona discharge is also remarkably increased, and hence the dust collection efficiency is markedly improved.
