This invention relates to an arm shift device on cartridges for record players. A motor (2) is set on a mount (1) and drives a worm gear (3). The worm gear is connected to gear (5) on the main body (4) and the gear (5) is connected to wheel (6) and string (7). The string (7) wound in the wheel (6) engages with projector (9) which is formed on the cartridge connection member (8). The spring (18) is provided at the end of string (7) so as not to be loosen due to the elasticity of the spring.
