PURPOSE:To obtain a hair tonic having excellent hair tonic effect and free from side effect, by using a crude extract of peel of Lansium domesticum Jack var. Duke, etc., and lansic acid, etc., which is a component of the extract in combination with a blood flow promoting agent and/or a hair-matrix cell activating agent. CONSTITUTION:A hair tonic exhibiting excellent hair-tonic effect by inhibiting 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone, free from side effect such as hormonic action and having high safety can be produced by compounding (A) one or more substances selected from crude extract obtained from peel of Lansium domesticum Jack var. Duke or Lansium domesticum Jack var. Lancer, lansic acid and lansioside which are components of the extract and their derivatives and (B) one or more blood flow promoting agent and hair-matrix cell activating agent such as extract of Swertia japonica, Fomes japonicus, Stephania cepharantha, Glycyrrhiza glabra or placenta as essential components. |
