PURPOSE:To make it feasible to constantly carry out an accurate calculation of fuel injection by processing the calculation to be carried out in synchronism with firing in a manner of being temporally divided by means of a soft timer and installing a control device which refuses the acceptance of noise signals generated while the timer operates. CONSTITUTION:While the engine runs, air quantity signal, etc. obtained from an air flow sensor 3 are inputted to a control device 8, and the quantity of fuel fed into an internal combustion engine 1 is calculated from the air quantity signal. And, in the control device 8, the engine speed is determined from a rotational pulse frequency obtained from a firing device 9, the quantity of fuel per one revolution of the engine is calculated, and a pulse signal having a pulse width corresponding to the required quantity of fuel is impressed to an injector 2 in synchronism with firing pulse. In such a device, the above calculation process carried out in synchronism with firing is performed in a manner of being temporally divided by a soft timer, and at the same time, the calculation process carried out in synchronism with firing is adapted not to be performed for a fixed period of time, thus the acceptance of firing noise is prevented.
