The operating element is in the form of a membrane (4) supported within a housing which communicates with a source element (2) via a pneumatic line (3). The interior of the setting device communicates with the atmosphere. via a capillary (6) providing pressure equalisation, with closure of the capillary (6) during transmission of a pressure pulse from the source element (2) and operation of the membrane (4). Pref. the capillary (6) is blocked automatically in response to temp. variations to prevent false operation of the setting device. ADVANTAGE - Allows setting to be effected from remote point.
