PURPOSE:To surely prevent the mass forgery of paper money or securities, etc., by suspending picture formation and self-damaging (disabling) a (multi) head for picture formation every time a pattern registered as the one prohibited from being duplicated is detected from among the pictures of an original. CONSTITUTION:When a comparison circuit 206 decides that there is the same pattern as a standard pattern in patternized original data, it sends a control signal (duplication prohibition control signal) to prohibit duplication to a CPU 201 through a signal line 212, and this control signal is transferred further from the CPU 201 to a printer control part 121. The printer control part 121 having received the duplication prohibition control signal flows a current for a long period of time to the nozzle heater 308 of recording heads 117 to 120 so as to damage itself, and further recording can not be executed by the corresponding recording head. On the other hand, when the comparison circuit 206 decides that there is no same pattern as the standard pattern in the patternized original data, since the duplication prohibition control signal is not sent from the comparison circuit 206 to the CPU 201, the CPU 201 executes usual duplicating operation. |
