PURPOSE: To prevent the air and an ink from reversely flowing to an ink reservoir by constituting by an intermediate member disposed between first and second conduits, and a spherical ink flow controller having a smaller diameter than that of the second conduit. CONSTITUTION: A control unit 40 has a second conduit 48 for constituting a first ink passage 49 having a diameter D1 , and the passage 49 communicates with a second ink passage 56. A spherical flow control member of a ball 80 is disposed in the passage 49. The ball 80 has a smaller diameter D2 than that D1 of the passage 49. Regarding the passage 56, the diameter D2 of the ball 80 is smaller than a width W1 but larger than a height H1 of the passage 56. The ball 80 maintains a freely floating state in the passage 49. When a negative pressure in an ink reservoir 47 invades the air into a cartridge, the ink is exhausted reversely from a supplying/printing apparatus. As a result, the ink and the air start to move reversely toward the reservoir 47. When this occurs, the ball 80 is moved in a direction of a central part 62 and toward interior by the ink. |
