The cylinder block is for a liq. cooled combustion engine having a V-shaped cylinder. The coolant channels for the introduction of coolant (4) and the removal of coolant (5) are arranged in the internal free V-angle of the cylinder block with a covering lid (6), and are cast into the cylinder block. ADVANTAGE - Space-saving arrangement for the individual cooling of each cylinder through the simple production of coolant channels.
