- The source includes a body lowered into a well on the end of an electrical/support cable, anchoring pads (blocks) (4) and a hydraulic system including a pump (11), jacks (cylinders) (5) for anchoring the pads and hydraulic circuits (21, 22) connecting the pump to the pads. An auxiliary cylinder (24) is connected to these circuits, in which auxiliary cylinder slides a piston (26) which is translationally integral with vibration means. These means are, for example, an electrodynamic assembly with a coil (29) which can move in an air gap (30) connected up to an AC signal generator.
