PURPOSE:To surely prevent not only the peeling of a surface layer and a conductive substrate but also the peeling of the respective layers existing between the surface layer and the conductive substrate by making the end of the surface layer in contact with the end of a conductive substrate at both ends. CONSTITUTION:In a photosensitive body, the lower surface of the end of the surface layer is in contact with the upper surface of the end of the conductive substrate 11. Therefore, in the case that the surface layer is a protective layer 14, for example, photosensitive layers 13 and 13' are perfectly covered by the protective layer 14. In the case of the photosensitive body in which an intermediate layer 12 is formed on the substrate 11 and the photosensitive layer 13' obtained by laminating a charge generating layer 131 and a charge transporting layer 132 is provided on the layer 12, the layer 132 being the surface layer perfectly covers other layers. Therefore, it is advantageous to produce the surface layer by a spraying system. |
