14 A method and arrangement for fastening a grinding segment (2) to the frame (1a) of a grindstone, and a grinding segment. The grinding part (3) of the grinding segment (2) is attached to a separate base plate (4) by means of fastening mass (5), which is advantageously made of concrete. The grinding segment (2) is fastened to the frame (1a) of a grindstone by bolts or other fastening means (6) such that the fastening force of the grinding segment affects only the metallic base plate (4) of the grinding segment and that the forces between the frame of the grindstone and the ceramic grinding part are transmitted only through the fastening mass (5).
