The solar cell tracking device allows free movement of the solar cell (1) relative to an underlying surface (2) of greater area to track the movement of the sun over the course of the day. The solar cell supports a charge on the side facing the underlying surface (2) and the latter supports a number of photoelements, responding to the incident solar radiation, to generate an opposite charge. Pref. the underlying surface has a regular matrix of photoelements, e.g. photodiodes (34), with amplification of the charge provided by the generated electrical field. ADVANTAGE - Allows floating movement of solar cell.
