Treatment of inflammable ester phosphate based prods. in hydraulic circuit by passing across a silica gel filter to trap acid components, is claimed. Fluid containing ester phosphate based cpds. is pref. pass through (a) water retention filter; (b) silica gel filter to trap acid components, and (c) mechanical filter preventing increase in silica gel in circuit.
