<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable setting of a roll revolution reflecting on rolling conditions such as the cumulative number of rolling rolls and temperature of tube stock in a stretch reducer. SOLUTION: On the entrance side of a stretch reducer 1, the actual length of a tube stock is detected by a length measuring meter 3 on the entrance side, as is the temperature of each part of the tube stock by a thermometer 5, and then, a target elongation length by the stretch reducer 1 is determined from the target length of a finished tube, so that a roll revolution is set for the stretch reducer. Meantime, on the exit side of the stretch reducer 1, the actual elongation length of the tube is detected by a length measuring meter 4 on the exit side, with the number of roll revolution corrected at each stand of the stretch reducer 1 so that the actual elongation length may coincide with the target length of the finished tube; in this case, the correction is determined by a neural network 10 based on the actual tube stock length, tube stock temperature, other dimensional items of tube stock, cumulative number of rolling rolls, target elongation length and elongation deviation.</p> |
