PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily increase the temperature of a press roller, needless to say, the temperature of a heat roller, up to a temperature suitable for fixation, even in the case the heat roller and the press roller are in a low temperature state at the start of heating the heat roller, and to improve the fixation at the start of heating. SOLUTION: Prior to the start of heating, the temperature (x) of a thermistor 18 is detected, and when the detected temperature (x) is <= a reference temperature 107 deg.C, the fixation temperature T of the heat roller 39 is set 163 deg.C, higher one. On the other hand, when the detected temperature (x) exceeds the reference temperature, the fixation temperature T of the heat roller 39 is set 159 deg.C, the lower one. And a halogen lamp 23 is turned on. When the detected temperature (x) of the thermistor 18 reaches >=131 deg.C, the heat roller 39 and the press roller 40 are started to be rotated, and then, when the detected temperature (x) reaches >=the fixation temperature T, the halogen lamp 23 is turned off, then, printing is started. |
