<p>An apparatus for facilitating the combustion and purification of exhaust gas, and methods therefor, are provided. The apparatus, in which an ultrasonic wave generator for generating ultrasonic waves by the pressure of the exhaust gas is installed in an exhaust pine line for the exhaust gas, includes; a vibrating plate vibrating by the exhaust gas; brackets installed at upper portions of both sides of the vibrating plate; and intermediate plates supported by the vibrating plate and each bracket, for providing a vibrating space to the vibrating plate. Therefore, the ultrasonic waves stir the fuel and make short duration of the aftercombustion in a combustion chamber, thereby facilitating the combustion and simultaneously improving the output of the engine. In addition, the ultrasonic waves transferred to the catalytic converter eliminate the products of combustion from the exhaust gas, adhering to the porous catalytic layer, so that the catalytic layer contacting the exhaust gas is always maintained clean, thereby facilitating the purification of the exhaust gas.</p> |
