The parking utility (6) has an entry/exit lift (4) not situated at one of its ends and the car carrying pallets (5) are vertically removable from or returnable to a space in the series of parking places. Next to the lift, a lifting device (14) raises a pallet adjacent to the space or pallet about to be lifted, as allowed by its coupling. A sliding mechanism (12) moves a row of pallets to open or fill the space.
