Detecting ferromagnetic and electrically conducting non-ferromagnetic objects in ground

The method of detection is carried using at least one magnetometer probe and a transmitter of magnetic AC fields, in which the transmitter transmits a coded magnetic AC field synchronous to the unmagnetising current in the probe. The detected reception values are decoded by a computer. Also corresp. to the reception value for a part belonging to a pure ferromagnetic object and a part belonging to an electrically conducting non-ferromagnetic object are evaluated. The transmitter always transmits at least one pulse, if the magnetometer probe is in an inactive measuring condition, and with which in the next operation, the reception value is detected by the probe in the active measuring condition and then evaluated.
