Elevating mechanism comprises: (a) an aggregate support (15) vertically arranged in a vessel (1); and (b) a height adjusting arrangement as cable winch (20) for the aggregate with a movable hoisting drum (21), cable guide and cable (23). The novelty is that the cable guide has a support arm (35) secured in the upper region of the aggregate (14) turning over the height adjusting aggregate (14). In the region of the tilting axis (41) of the upper region of the tilting bearing (17) are arranged two neighbouring horizontal guide rolls (38, 39). The cable (23) is fed between the rolls (38, 39) and over the vertical roll (36) to the aggregate (14) so that on tilting the aggregate support (15) and thus the aggregate (14) the cable (23) is fed over the one of the rolls (38, 39) in the direction of the roll (36).
