The invention relates to a direct boring ground rod, comprising at least one elongated element (1) with a coaxial blind hole (3, 5) at both ends, and a pin (2) distinct from said element with a knurled lateral surface ending at its two extremities in a smooth conical point (7), intended for penetrating the earth (T) or wedging into the corresponding blind hole of another similar element. The invention can be applied notably to the protection of transportation or electrical energy distribution networks, or of electric machines or systems.
