<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the salts as much as possible and to eliminate the disadvantage due to the elution of salts when reutilized by firing the refuse incineration ash consisting of fly ash and bottom ash at a specified temp. for a specified time. SOLUTION: The fly ash is filtered and collected by the dust collector of a refuse incinerating plant. The bottom ash is left on the bottom of an incinerator. The incineration ash is calcined at >=950 deg.C for 30 min, preferably 100 min. The ash can be fired at >=1,000 deg.C for >=120 min. The content of the remaining salts is decreased to <=3% by the method. An assistant such as binder can be added before firing. Glass being a binder, a material (e.g. sodium primary phosphate) for lowering the firing temp. or for fixing heavy metals, etc. are exemplified as additives.</p> |
