PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically reduce the red eyes of a picture by changing the color of a pixel near an area and adjusting the boundary of the area in a color substitution module when the color of the pixel of a second state area obtained by changing a first state area is judged to be sufficiently approximated to red. SOLUTION: An original picture 11 is fetched into a masking module 16 through a user interface 15 and a masking module 16 converts an area with a mark, which contains a red pupil, into the binary mask of a first state area and a second state area. The first state area is changed to the second state area by a color substitution module 18. When the colors of the pixels of the areas are judged to be sufficiently approximated to red, the color of the pixel near the area is changed and the boundary of the areas is adjusted. |
