PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a sound field treatment method so as to be compatible with the arrangement status of an acoustic output device or the type of the contents of an acoustic signal. SOLUTION: Acoustic signal data is inputted to a sound field treatment part 11 and a sound field treatment determination part 12 receives reproduction output quality recommendation information, together with the acoustic signal data. Also, the reproduction output quality recommendation information is determined, depending on the contents of the acoustic signal data. When the acoustic signal data is generated at a process for executing an application program, the type of the contents for the treatment of the application program is recognized, thereby discriminating the type of the contents of the acoustic signal data. Also, a plurality of types of acoustic output arrangement status information appropriate for a plurality of acoustic output devices are inputted from the arrangement status selector part 3 of the acoustic output device. |
