PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system with which video telephone communication can be performed through a line using a PBX by connection the main body of a PBX telephone and a hand set. SOLUTION: A video telephone adapter device 10 is connected between the main body of a PBX telephone 16 and a PBX telephone hand set 18. At the time of ordinary telephone communication, the PBX telephone hand set 18 is connected through first and second relays 30 and 32 to the main body of the PBX telephone 16 and by switching the first and second relays 30 and 32, image signals transmitted from the main body of the PBX telephone 16 are displayed on an LCD display device 12. At the same time, the signals of images picked up by a camera apparatus 14 are supplied to the main body of the PBX telephone 16. Thus, the system capable of video telephone communication while utilizing the analog signals of the hand set can be provided. |
