MANUFACTURE OF SLAG CEMENT

PURPOSE:To obtain a cement having large initial and long period strength with a small changing ratio in length by using specified quantities of a water ground slag powder obtained by the pulverization using an impact type crusher and having specified specific surface area and particle distribution as the ingredient of a blast furnace cement. CONSTITUTION:The water ground slag is pulverized by using the impact type crusher and obtains the water ground slag powder having 2000-8000cm<2>/g plain specific surface, and difference between 16mum under size and 6mum under size is 45-65wt.%. By this means the water ground slag powder having high content of 6-16mum particle size which contributes largely to the water hardening property is obtained. The objective slag cement is obtained by mixing 100 part by weight of this water ground slag powder and 10-1000 part of the clinker powder and blending 0.3-10 part of gypsum per 100 part total of this mixture of the water ground slag powder and the clinker powder.
