Substituted tetrahydronaphthalene derivatives (I) are new. Substituted tetrahydronaphthalene derivatives (I) and their salts are new: A = cycloalkyl, or aryl or heterocyclyl (both optionally substituted by 15 groups); D = R<5>-L-, -CR<6>R<7>R<8> or -X-V-T-R<9>; R<5>, R<6> and R<9> = cycloalkyl, aryl or 5-7 membered saturated or heterocyclyl optionally substituted by 19 groups; or R<5> and/or R<6> = difluoromethylenedioxy-phenyl or 2-trifluoromethyl-benzofuranyl; R<7> = H, halo or methyl; and R<8> = H, halo, N3, CF3, OH, OCF3, alkyl, alkoxy or optionally mono- or disubstituted amino; R<7>+R<8> = O or optionally substituted imino; L = alkylene or alkenylene optionally substituted by OH; T, X = alkylene; or T or X = a bond; V = O, S or optionally mono- or disubstituted amino; E = cycloalkyl, alkyl optionally substituted by cycloalkyl or phenyl optionally substituted by halo or CF3; R<1>, R<2> = alkylene substituted by oxo and/or by 5 other given groups.
