LASER SCANNING UNIT

PURPOSE: A laser scanning unit is provided to substitute a universal spherical lens for an f/theta lens, to control the scan time of a laser beam non-linearly and to make a scan mirror with one reflective face. CONSTITUTION: A video signal of an input screen is inputted to a video controller. A multiplexor of a laser diode drive circuit control unit detects the time for a laser beam spot to turn on in a timing data. The detected turning on time of the laser beam spot is outputted to a laser diode drive unit. The multiplexor controls the scan time of the laser beam projected from a laser diode(200) in a non-linearly. Accordingly, a size of the laser beam spot formed by a photosensitive drum(208) is formed equally to central or both end parts of the photosensitive drum.
