PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize expression of colors suitable for a design of each image with a simple configuration without increasing the ROM capacity, and without each image one-sided in color displayed on a display screen when plural images are displayed on a same screen at the same time. SOLUTION: When n-bit image data and color palette data corresponding to each of them are stored in a ROM 13 and the image data are transferred to a VRAM 14 via an image data processing part 20, they are transformed into m-bit image data (wherein, n<m), and processed by a GDC 12 in the mode as they are, and displayed on a display monitor 15. Then, the image data processing part 20 transforms n-bit image data into m-bit image data by collating the n-bit image data with m-bit color palette data.
