PURPOSE: A method for matching load of a microwave oven is provided to shorten a cooking time and maximizes an output of microwave by optimally matching the load of the microwave oven regardless of the temperature variation of foods. CONSTITUTION: After turning on a magnetron and a turntable(S1), a leakage of microwaves is detected per one revolution of the turntable(S2). After detecting the leakage of microwaves per each period, the turntable is turned off and a time value for minimizing the leakage of microwaves is determined(S3). The detected time value is compared with a reference value. If the detected time value exceeds the reference value, a non-load state is determined(S6), so that an error is displayed. If the detected time value is lower than the reference value, the turntable is driven until the minimum time of leakage is obtained. Then, the cooking is carried out(S10).
