PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold a bottom face part of a cap and an ink-absorbing member in tight adhesion at all times and prevent adverse effects on an ink discharge opening face. SOLUTION: Holding members 15 are set for holding the ink-absorbing member M5002 not to separate from a space for sealing which is away from an outer peripheral part 10 of the cap M5001. The holding members are arranged inside the space for sealing not to butt against the discharge opening face when the outer peripheral part 10 butts against the ink discharge opening face of a recording head.
