PURPOSE:To arrange a nozzle port and a molten material nozzle close to each other and to sufficiently reduce the cross-sectional width of a nozzle unit by injecting a planar air jet respectively from a couple of nozzle ports of the arc spraying device to atomize the molten droplet. CONSTITUTION:A molten material W and atomizing compressed air are supplied and conducted to the front of the spraying machine main body 1 in this arc spraying device. Long-sized conduits 2 and 2 and an air conduit 3 are projectingly provided, and a nozzle unit 4 for remote thermal spraying is furnished on the tips of the conduits 2 and 3. The nozzle unit 4 consists of a deflecting block 14 provided at the front ends of the conduits 2 and 2 and an air nozzle block 15 furnished at the front end of the air conduit 3 and fixed to the deflecting block 14, a couple of molten material nozzles 16 for delivering the molten material W toward the arc intersection is provided on the front surface of the block 14, and nozzle ports 29 for injecting a planar air jet are formed on the front surface of the air nozzle block 15 with the nozzles 16 in between. |
