PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module excellent in cooling performance of battery cells, capable of surely fixing the battery cells, and capable of improving workability. SOLUTION: A nut is arranged in a nut-shaped recess 38 formed in a stage part 37, an inter-battery pack connecting bus bar 36 is arranged in an inter- recess groove 40, a battery pack output bus bar 7 is arranged in the inter-recess groove 40, respectively, and series connecting work of a battery pack 1 is completed by bolt fastening from above. A bypass passage 35 in which a cooling wind flows for cooling the respective battery cells 2, is formed of clearance formed in the battery pack 1 and a bottom surface part, and a cooling wind introducing port 33 and a cooling wind deriving port 34 are formed on one side surface of a lower cover case 39 and the opposed side surface with respective rows.
