<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transferring positional information of a digital map, which can improve the accuracy of matching at a receiving side. SOLUTION: The method for transferring positional information of the digital map employs a transmitting side that transfers a vector form on the digital map and the receiving side that specifies the vector form on an own digital map using a map matching process. The transmitting side selects an area as an edge point of the vector form where plural candidate points are difficult to occur in the case of carrying out the map matching process and transfers the vector form having the edge point in the area to the receiving side. Thereby, the false matching at the receiving side is prevented, and the positional information on the digital map can be transferred accurately.</p> |
