<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fluorinated ether having thermal stability, flame retardancy, low viscosity, etc usable for elimination of heat generated in using parts relating to power electronics such as a power semiconductor in high voltage/DC transmission or a power semiconductor device for railway by directly placing the heat generating parts in a boiling liquid, placing in the boiling liquid in a hollow cooling cell, able to cool by bath or cell vaporization. <P>SOLUTION: The fluorinated ether is represented by formula (2): C<SB>4</SB>F<SB>9-b</SB>H<SB>b</SB>-O-CF<SB>3-c</SB>H<SB>c</SB>.
