<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent capable of performing the sustained release designing of a biological physiologically active substance over a long period of time without damaging the operability of the stent and obtained by a simple manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the stent 1 indwelled in a lumen of a living body and formed of a stent body 2 and a polymer layer 3 provided on the surface of the stent body, a first biological physiologically active substance 4 and a nanocapsule or microcapsule comprising a first biodegradable polymer 6 encapsulating a second biological physiologically active substance 5 therewithin are incorporated in the polymer layer and the second biological physiologically active substance contained in the nanocapsule or microcapsule is released after the first biological physiologically active substance is released to the outside of the stent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
