<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trunk lock device of an automobile having a simple structure, for preventing opening of a trunk lid, even if a key cylinder is unjustly operated. <P>SOLUTION: This trunk lock device has a striker 1 fixed to one of a car body and the trunk lid, a latch 2 arranged in the other, a rod lever 4 connected to the key cylinder, a cover body 6 for supporting the latch 2 and the rod lever 4, and a lock lever 5 slidably arranged along a side wall of the cover body 6. The latch 2 rotates between a locking position and an opening position, and engages with the striker 1 in the locking position. The rod lever 4 returns the latch 2 to the opening position, by rotating to an open position, by operating the key cylinder. The lock lever 5 engages with and disengages from the rod lever 4 by sliding, and prevents the rod lever 4 from rotating to the open position in a locking state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
