<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP address conversion device and a packet transfer device for conducting packet communication between IPv4 and IPv6 after a session is established through a SIP server. <P>SOLUTION: In a process for establishing a session between an IPv4 device and an IPv6 device through a SIP server, the IP address conversion device includes a SIP-ALG control message processing function for assigning a virtual IP address, an address conversion table for storing a correlation between the IPv4 address and a virtual IPv6 address, a correlation between the IPv6 address and a virtual IPv4 address, and filter information in relation to each virtual address; and a function for converting the IPv4 packet and the IPv6 packet in address according to the address conversion table.
